Jason's Internship Story: Graphic Design & Photography Intern at Melbourne
This is Jason!
He is a current student at Curtin University for his Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Photography. Having secured an internship, Jason has successfully transitioned into a full-time role at Picos Media, a creative agency specializing in content creation.
Could you give a brief description of your Graphic Design Internship?
I undertook my internship at Picos Media, a company located in South Yarra, Melbourne. I worked as a full-time graphic design intern and photography intern for three months.
Most of my work revolved around creating content and direct interactions with clients. However, as I am completing a minor in photography, I was fortunate enough to actively participate in photoshoots and contribute in the editing process. I love living in South Yarra, the fifteen minute stroll along Chapel Street to reach the premises of Picos Media was an enjoyable part of my routine.

How do you think this internship will impact your career?
Working on real-world projects gave me a more hands-on experience in the industry. I made meaningful contributions to the agency and am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such a talented and supportive team.
Overall, my internship at Picos Media was a valuable learning experience that has allowed me to gain practical skills and knowledge in the digital marketing industry. These skills can be carried out in my future studies and the workforce.
