Harrison's Story: Fashion Design Internship in Sydney
This is Harrison!
He is currently a fashion design major at Bath Spa University. During the fall of 2022, Harrison would later pursue a fashion design internship at Romance Was Born, an Australian fashion house known for producing haute couture and women's ready-to-wear garments and accessories.
What responsibilities did you take on during your Fashion Design Internship at Romance Was Born?
I had the opportunity to work at Romance Was Born, a renowned fashion brand based in Sydney, Australia. The company is prominent in the Australian fashion industry, with extensive connections and links.
My responsibilities during my fashion design internship included diverse tasks such as designing and mocking up new ideas, as well as packing orders. However, it was not just the variety of tasks that shaped my experience. Wearing multiple hats throughout the internship provided me with a broad perspective and understanding of how a small fashion brand operates.
What is a positive thing you earned during this program?
This internship has helped me get some experience under my belt, as well as given me a more direct understanding of what I want to do within the industry.
In what aspect did ABI help the most?
ABI helped me the most by simply keeping in touch and making sure everything was professional and the work environment was healthy.
