Amora's Story: Fashion Editorial Internship in Los Angeles

In the summer of 2023, Amora made the decision to join the ArtBound Initiative program to further explore her passion. She then pursued a fashion editorial internship with The Pop Group, a leading Fashion PR agency with offices in LA, London, NYC, Paris, and Milan - specializing in crafting powerful strategies for international clients.
Describe what a normal day looks like during your Fashion Editorial Internship!
During my fashion editorial internship, my tasks included checking emails, organizing stylists & pulling information, as well as occasionally making pitches to stylists about new in-house brands. In addition, the work environment is open and has a fun atmosphere which was the most enjoyable part of this experience.
What are some moments that highlighted your internship experience?
Some of the highlights of my experience have included meeting stylists who are currently working with major celebrities for various events. I've also made a couple of solid friends during my time here and have developed a great rapport with my co-worker, who is also an intern.
Another highlight has been connecting with professional networks within the black community. I've attended numerous events tailored to this community and have found a strong sense of belonging. Meeting so many successful, creative, and like-minded individuals has made me feel less isolated in my journey here.
