Bella's Story: Social Media Internship in Melbourne

She graduated from Deakin University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in Psychology and Public Relations. Pitch Agency, a digital agency based in Melbourne, welcomed Bella as she joins the team with an internship program, taking on the responsibilities of a content creator/social media internship.
What were your responsibilities during your Social Media Internship at Pitch Agency?
My digital marketing/social media internship at Pitch Agency is honestly a huge eye-opener and opportunity for my career. Pitch Agency is an ever-growing digital marketing agency that works with all kinds of local & international, small & big clients, and businesses.
As one of their first interns, I got an insight into all kinds of work they do: SEO, content writing, strategy planning, data analysis, reporting and the heaps of data and admin work they do in the background, the foundation of Pitch's work stemming from said data. With this relatively flexible social media internship, I got to learn and have the privilege of writing blogs, prezo decks and help organize their data for all kinds of clients.
What's the most important thing you learned during your internship?
It definitely taught me numerous hard skills and soft skills that will continue to help me flourish in my career. As an intern, I was assigned various tasks and had the opportunity to learn a little bit of everything. This knowledge will prove useful, whether I stay in the industry or not. I find it amazing that they are helping me explore my strengths and discover future career options that I would have otherwise never considered, thus broadening my career prospects.

What did ABI help you with the most?
ABI has helped me the most with their constant support and confidence in my capabilities to flourish in my career. Before ABI, I was quite insecure about the future of my career. I found the supervisors' and coaches' wholehearted support, as well as how they communicated their support, to be the most helpful aspect throughout it all.
ArtBound Initiative has been instrumental in providing me with unwavering support during my internship journey. The coaches and supervisors present during my preparation stage was extremely beneficial for my growth.
