SOPHI
is studying Photography & Video at School of Visual Arts. Sophi then landed an internship at Red Antler as a Production Intern.
Sophi was one of our two awardees for the Summer 2022 Creative Diversity Scholarship!
I have been placed as a content and production intern at the branding agency Red Antler in Dumbo Brooklyn. As an agency, Red Antler is committed to being divergent and successful, they actively build brands for startups that are changing how the world works. Through the company's many different teams we are able to collectively create a brand experience through many points of view.
At Red Antler, I have been lucky enough to shadow in different departments and learn a wide variety of the ins and outs of the industry - aside from just where I was placed. I have been an active part in shoot preparation, as well as storyboarding and concept. In addition to maintaining our in-house studio needs, and executing mini shoots necessary to our clients. Throughout my time here I have grown in not only my knowledge and skill set, but in my place in the company as well.
So as for impacting my career - it’s doing so in a tremendously amazing way. Aside from the possibility of being kept full-time, the connections and relationships I have created over the past few months - as well as the knowledge and personal growth I have obtained - I feel extremely confident moving forward into my career.
ABI helped me most in ways I didn't even know I needed. I was able to build skills and knowledge necessary to grow in my career through their program, and couldn't be more thankful for the position I was placed in with their guidance.
