Darren

is a Design student studying at School of Visual Arts, New York. Darren then landed an internship at the Branding & Creative Agency, Red Antler as a Design Intern!

I was placed as a brand design intern at Red Antler, a branding agency that specifically works with startups and established brands. They've done work for Allbirds, Prose, Clear, ThredUP, and more.

At the internship, I was mainly shadowing & assisting senior brand designers in creating brands. Some of the work I did included finding swipe (references), logo sketching, typography explorations, and flushing out brand directions & brand development. Those were my responsibilities and as an intern, I was able to work on a variety of big projects and small projects at the same time.

This internship taught me more about working collaboratively and the importance of strategy and how it brings a brand to life. My workflow has become more fluid and my creative process has improved overall. I also was able to make many connections throughout my internship which I can hopefully use later on in my career.

ABI helped me the most by connecting me with top creative companies. They also helped me with coaching sessions and events to meet people in the internship program in NYC.
