Veronica's Story: Film/TV Production Internship in New York

This is Veronica!

Veronica graduated with a Bachelor in Business Management and Film and Screen Studies from Bath Spa University. During her senior year, she took a major step toward her creative career by joining the ArtBound Initiative program. In Spring 2023, she landed a Film/TV internship at Braven Films, a dynamic production company based in New York. Read more below!

Could you describe what your day-to-day looks like as an intern for Braven Films?

I will get to the office at 9:30am, check with my supervisors and start working in ongoing projects. Early in the day my boss will contact me with different tasks to do. Every day will be different, some have more work and others less, but usually the work consists on coverages, email drafts, pitch decks, notes, and overall production tasks. The day will end at 5pm.

The environment and general atmosphere at Braven is very welcoming. Both of the supervisors are extremely nice, they will answer any questions or concerns that we have and make sure we understand every task!

What aspect of your internship is most enjoyable, rewarding, and/or useful?

I would say It's very rewarding that I got to attend several film screenings with my boss. It was an incredible and unique opportunity that allowed me to understand better about the film world and also develop my professional network.

Did your internship meet your expectations and how will it impact your career goals?

It has absolutely reached my expectations, it has been an amazing instructive experience that has allowed me to get my foot in the film world, understand the industry better, and made contacts that will be of great use in the future.
