This is Ruoyao!
Ruoyao recently graduated with a Master of Arts in Communication (Interactive Media) from Hong Kong Baptist University! She joined the ArtBound Initiative program and landed a Project Management Internship at Harvestworks, a renowned digital media arts center based in New York. Read more on her story below!

Could you describe what your day-to-day looks like as an intern for Harvestworks?
During my internship at Harvestworks in New York, I helped maintain the exhibition, lead several key projects focused on brand strategy, digital growth, and audience engagement. I conducted a brand diagnostic analysis that identified gaps in awareness and messaging, then developed a new communication framework based on the “Hero Journey” to better connect with users. I also worked on optimizing digital products by revamping the website and creating a YouTube growth strategy using both PGC and UGC content.
What aspect of your internship is most enjoyable, rewarding, and/or useful?
I think the most enjoyable part other than being able to take parts of big projects is that Carol, our supervisor really respects all our ideas and allows us to make it come true! Carol is an amazing and wonderful supervisor who takes care of us and fill us with creative ideas.

Did your internship meet your expectations and how will it impact your career goals?
Yes, it did in many ways! During my internship, I gave my best effort and made the most of the opportunity. It was a time when I truly became more independent, flexible and responsible. Outside of my internship, I'm grateful that I got invited to go to the PRovoke Global Summit - It's an awesome opportunity!!

How did ArtBound Initiative help you the most?
ABI helped me with the coaching platform. The courses on the platform really help me sort out of what I really want and also the steps to get it!
This internship taught me how to become more independent, flexible and responsible!
