Could you describe what your day-to-day looks like at INDIRAP?
My daily routine was helping out in any way I could, ranging from making social media graphics to designing marketing materials. I was basically tasked with everything from YouTube thumbnails, Instagram carousels, email blasts, and many more. Alongside my graphic design duties, I also assisted with shooting video on-side for our clients. I was also always in the room when my supervisor took business calls, so I kept learning various things about making a business run smoothly.

What aspect of your internship is most enjoyable, rewarding, and/or useful?
The most rewarding part of the internship was seeing how much my supervisor trusted and respected me and my opinions. Over half the things I did over this summer were new to me, but he trusted me enough to let me give them a shot anyway. Over the summer, he gradually let me in on more and more client work, and it really made the internship worthwhile for me.
Did your internship meet your expectations and how will it impact your career goals?
The internship was exceeded my expectations. It'll help further my career because of the invaluable skills and knowledge I gained from it. Confidence in my previous skills, new software under my belt, business knowledge that'll help me retain clientele. Also, my supervisor is super tapped in to all the major industries in Chicago so he'll lend a hand wherever he can.
I think ArtBound helped me the most with preparing me for the internship. The courses and counselors gave good advice and critique to help me improve myself and my portfolio.
