Updated: Sep 14, 2025

This is Isabella!

Isabella recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Curtin University. Read more about her journey below!

Could you describe what your day-to-day looks like?

Each day, I’d clock in and check in with my supervisor to confirm my tasks. Most of my work involved creating social media content for clients, vetting media lists, and brainstorming content ideas for different campaigns.

I also had the chance to sit in on brand strategy meetings and contribute ideas on content, which gave me exposure to a range of creative directions across multiple brands.

How did ArtBound Initiative help you the most?

It helped me get to New York and secure a great internship where I felt genuinely supported. The experience also boosted my confidence in presenting myself - whether in interviews, building my portfolio, or refining my resume - which has been a key step in my growth as a designer.

Did your internship meet your expectations and how will it impact your career goals?

Yes, for the most part, it did meet my expectations. Working on graphics for social media - where quick turnarounds are essential - really helped me improve my speed and efficiency with simple design tasks. This has been incredibly valuable, as it means I can now complete foundational work more quickly and confidently, freeing up time to focus on larger, more complex projects.

Overall, this experience has strengthened my ability to adapt in fast-paced environments and will definitely support my long-term goal of becoming a well-rounded designer capable of handling both rapid production tasks and high-level creative work.
