Meet Dilcia!

Dilcia is a recent Marketing and International Business graduate from Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC) in Honduras. In the spring of 2026, she joined ArtBound Initiative and secured a virtual social media marketing internship with Haste, an award-winning post-production house in New York City. As a full-service finishing house, Haste has worked with major global brands like JBL, Coca-Cola, and Shiseido, giving Dilcia the chance to dive straight into the world of high-level creative marketing.

How would you describe your day-to-day at Haste?

My role was being the Marketing Director of Haste, and during the internship I had the opportunity to work on their startup, Conform Studio. My job with the software was to help on the UI design of the site, writing tech-oriented blogs and creating the landing page of the blog site, where we used Lovable.

From the creative part, I designed posters for their social media platforms (LinkedIn and Instagram stories). I was in charge of planning the posts and writing the captions along with my supervisor through metricool and figma design.

My internship was remote, so I didn't had an every day contact with my supervisor, but we had weekly meetings to catch up on the work and receive any necessary feedback. My job was to generate ideas, share my marketing plan for the company and mostly share opinions and ideas to improve the startup of Haste.

Despite working remotely, the working environment was very friendly. The workflow was calm and my supervisor took the time to guide me on the work and show me a lot of great things I didn't knew about. I felt welcomed on the team and I didn't felt the fear of being an apprentice on something new because they always guided me in the best way possible.

How do you think this internship will impact your career?

It opened up potential opportunities and connections that will help me further my career, but most importantly, this experience gave me clarity and helped me organize my goals. I learned from great professionals who shared their knowledge and experience through hands-on work. I am grateful for this internship because I wouldn’t have discovered a new passion for the creative industry without it. I also learned that my career can be approached in many different ways and I don’t necessarily have to stay in just one area. Seeing how companies use marketing on a daily basis helped me grow my creativity and curiosity by finding new ways to innovate in the media.

Furthermore, I developed specific skills I didn't know I could be able to learn in a short period of time, and even though I was working in Marketing I executed roles in other areas outside my expertise. I learned about vibe coding, how to redact good articles, and got access into a new world in technology and post-production. I believe getting out of what I knew on the job made me develop these skills in particular and without a hesitation these are great tools that would help me path a way in my career.

In what way did ArtBound Initiative helped you the most?

They were an excellent guide during my first encounter with the industry work environment. I take with me a very enriching experience, from the mentorships before my job interviews through the meetings sharing advices and connecting with other ABI members. I'm sure my internship abroad would have been memorable as well, so I would love the opportunity to intern with ABI in the future.

This internship opened up potential opportunities and connections that will help me further my career, but most importantly, this experience gave me clarity and helped me organize my goals.
