ABI Profile: Elise

ELISE

is a student at The King's College NYC, currently majoring in Humanities with a minor in Museum Studies. Elise then interned with Center for Book Arts New York in the Spring of 2021.

"I was placed at The Center for Book Arts as a Research Intern. I worked closely with the librarian to help fill in any gaps in their online presence and create a more robust database for people looking to learn more about their past exhibitions."

"My main task was to evaluate the current online status and use the additional online resources and physical exhibition catalogs to create a more coherent exhibition history of the Center."

"This internship will impact my career by helping me see more practically what the day-to-day operations of museums, and more specifically museum librarians, are. It will also help me narrow down my future potential job interests."

"ArtBound Initiative helped me gain resources to acquire this internship, such as providing sources for resume building and an interview preparation."
