ANNIE
graduated with her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from University of Denver in 2019. Later the same year, she continued her Master's in Arts & Business at Newcastle University.
Annie then interned with Sunday Best Recordings in the Fall of 2021.
I did an internship at Sunday Best Recordings. They are an indie record label with an eclectic artist roster with artists based in the UK and US.
My main responsibilities where administrative duties which included press research, marketing outreach updates, and any other organizing tasks the team may have required.
One of my larger tasks was organizing and counting our office merchandise and compiling them into a master spreadsheet so we could keep track of our stock. This will be a major help to my team after I leave, and I am happy to leave them with a completely organized space. I also played a role in this years Indie Label Market where we set up booth with the other labels in London and sold our merchandise to music lovers. I loved meeting the fans and spending time with the team outside of the office.
This internship will impact my career as it fortified by administration abilities as well as amplified new areas of development including working with specific platforms that were key to the organization of this label. My time here gave me an inside look into a foreign music market, a look at the indie scene in a major city which is great way to enhance new skills and ask questions.
ArtBound Initiative secured an internship for me, in my field, in a foreign country during a pandemic – that alone speaks volumes to their care for each of their program participants and the dedication to the experience they offer. The communication with the entire ArtBound team is consistent and reliable, I always had someone to reach out to with any questions. The support of this team is incredible and they gave me every tool to succeed in my placement!
