CHEVALA

is currently studying at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She has recently completed her summer internship at Videotage, a video art organization in Hong Kong.

"The past summer I was placed in Videotage, a video art company under Hong Kong Arts Development Council. I worked as a summer intern, mainly responsible for assistance in event management and early-stage development of their video artwork archive (VMAC), together with drafting paper work like memorandums. I also helped with marketing, translation of promotional content to events, and digitalized documentation and organization of video works."

"This internship gave me a chance to have a peek at the creative industry despite my ongoing law degree background. It gave me hands-on experience with marketing and event planning. I also got to sharpen my soft skills, interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills, all of which I believe will contribute to my future career.

"From this internship, I know better my career aspirations and even weaknesses and strengths. For instance, I would target event management for future career development and would have to boost my IT skills so as to boost competitiveness."
