ABI Profile: Nadia
NADIA
is studying Arts & Design at University of Michigan Stamp School of Design (Class of 2023). Nadia interned at Edisen (formerly Chimney Group) in the Summer of 2021.
I had the opportunity to work as a Digital Marketing Intern for creative agency, Chimney Group, last summer 2021. Chimney delivers full production post-production and production services for a vast range of industries from entertainment to advertising.
As Chimney was still starting to grow and develop their marketing team, I was able to step in at the right time, help with whatever marketing efforts needed, and work closely with leaders at the company. This ranged from doing social competitive analyses to developing their social media strategy and content calendar.
I was able to join in on production meetings, collect whatever content/assets were completed, write copy, and ultimately, go live with their latest projects, awards, and news.
Additionally, Chimney was in the midst of a rebrand (now Edisen), so I had the chance to contribute to the redesign of their slide decks and branding. My time this summer was extremely valuable as I gained so much exposure into many different areas of a creative agency.
Through listening in to the production side of things, strategizing social content alongside international colleagues, and using my creative capabilities on their rebranding efforts, I got such a rewarding, hands-on experience that I will be able to translate into any future career.
Without ArtBound Initiative, I don’t think I would have had the confidence and insight prior to starting with my internship. They provided all the guidance necessary to make me feel prepared to work at such a talented agency.
ABI program covered all the professional development skills that I needed to be aware of to start my professional journey.
