ABI Profile: Marissa
MARISSA
studied Fashion Business Management at Fashion Institute of Technology. Marissa then landed an internship at Rise & Set as an Events & Production Intern. Later, she got hired as an Assistant to the Fashion Director at ELLE Magazine!
My internship was at Rise & Set, an events and production agency in New York City. Rise & Set is responsible for many large and small scale luxury events including private events, charity fundraisers, marketing activations and press events.
My internship mainly consisted of the planning and execution of events, as well as the acquisition of new clients. During my time at the agency, I helped with the production of numerous events for clients including HBO Max, LVMH and Education Reform Now. My duties included everything from sourcing vendors, location scouting, creating an event flow, taking care of messenger orders and FedEx deliveries, as well as day-of event duties.

The skills I picked up during the internship were very valuable to my professional career. These skills include vendor and third party communication, invoicing, expenses, budgeting, as well as planning and scheduling.

ABI were super receptive to our thoughts and were always there to assist. They made a real effort to support us and listen to us during our internship experience.
