ABI Profile: Henry

Henry

is a student at Australian Institute of Music Sydney studying Music Composition. Henry then landed an internship with Baboon Animation!

I was placed at Baboon Animation, a writing and recording studio for animation which works largely in voice and scriptwriting for various kids shows such as Phineas and Ferb, Shrek, and Madagascar.

As a Sound Engineer Intern, I learned a lot of insightful skills of the animation industry from an audio post-production perspective. My main tasks were editing and repairing audio, syncing voice to animation, and working on animation reacts.

On occasion, I was lucky enough to take part in recording voice talents in the studio next to the director as well as work on some music for the shows they were working on.

I think this internship will be a great marker of experience and an impressive addition to my resume for music production. Going forward, I am sure there will be more opportunities that open up due to the experience gained during my internship.

ABI helped organize my travels from Australia all the way to New York City. I'm grateful I got to meet other interns in the city so we got to bond and hangout together. I am very grateful for this amazing opportunity!
