ABI Profile: Isabela

ISABELA

works in art management and is studying her MA Honors in Art History and International Relations from the University of St Andrews, UK. She recently completed her internship at Printed Matter, an artists' book non-profit in New York.

"I was placed at printed matter in New York City. Printed Matter, Inc. is the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of artists’ books and related publications. My tasks varied from administrative work, exhibition and events set up to social media."

"It not only helped me narrow the path I wish to follow, but I think that the fact that my internship was in New York will definitely have an impact on my CV. It definitely showed me another side of the market in which I wish to work at. Also, the network it provided me with will be very valuable in the future."

"It provided me with all the resources that are needed to intern in a foreign country. The whole visa process was so much easier than I expected and I know it would have been so hard if I had done it by myself. Through the interest, ArtBound Initiative took me in, as an individual, and it was extremely helpful in helping me see my potential and understand what it takes to be successful in today's world."
